BALDWIN–If you live in the Baldwin School District, and have a junior high or high schooler, you can get them lunch without a lunch card. There’s a catch though–the district will have to have their fingerprint. The school board this summer approved a food service biometric fingerprint identification system–this allows students to have their fingerprint scanned to charge money to their lunch accounts instead of using a card. Parents have to opt-in to use it. So far, 36 % of the older students say they will pay with their fingertips.
