BALDWIN CITY — The Mabee Foundation, Tulsa, Okla., has pledged $750,000 toward the Mulvane Transformation Project at Baker University’s Baldwin Ccity campus. Baker president Pat Long said the Mabee grant is the largest single gift Baker has received from a foundation and the fifth largest one-time contribution to the university since its founding in 1858. Baker is raising another $750,000 to match the Mabee grant, Long said. Baker plans a $10.3 million project for Mulvane Hall which houses the university’s math and science departments. The university will break ground this fall on a new addition to Mulvane. The 9,000-square-foot expansion will provide new laboratory space, classrooms and student study areas.
