APPANOOSE — He missed the dog. He hit the tree. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said Kyle White, 18, Pomona was driving an SUV east in the 900 block of Shawnee Road east of Appanoose when he swerved to miss a dog Sunday afternoon. He went off the road into a ditch and struck a tree, the sheriff’s office said. He wasn’t injured.
