OTTAWA- A blood donation can help save a life and Ottawans can do their part to contribute. The Community Blood Center is hosting a blood drive Monday afternoon from 2-6 at Ottawa Community. Last year, 28,000 individuals needed a blood transfusion and that number is expected to rise. Having a large bank also allows the CBC to help neighboring communities, such as Joplin, after disaster strikes. Anyone interested in donating may make an appointment by visiting www.esavealife.org, or by calling 785-229-8323.
