OSAWATOMIE- Osawatomie Recreation Commission Director Ron Marring resigns after 26 years. Marring’s resignation follows his arrest Wednesday morning on two felony counts of theft and misuse of public funds. The Osawatomie Journal reports that he could possibly serve between 5 to 17 months of prison time, and owe a monetary fine. Marring’s resignation will be effective October 31st. The commission voted to suspend Marring with pay during the investigation.
