OSAGE CITY – Schroeder Pharmacy in Osage County is getting back to normal after an exciting morning yesterday. The day began with the police responding to its burglary alarm at 5:30 in the morning. Kelley Beard of Osage City was caught inside the building and was tased by police after threatening to shoot officers. Beard claimed that two other men were in the building with him, but they were not found. The adjoining building of Ace Hardware was also burglarized. The Topeka Capital Journal reports that Beard was booked into the Osage County Jail in Lyndon for two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, two counts of criminal damage to property, and three counts of aggravated assault upon law enforcement officers.
