OTTAWA — David Barnes is the dean of O0ttawa University’s newly created school of education. Barnes will be responsible for building a nationally-recognized education program offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. Barnes comes to Ottawa University from Arizona Christian University where he served as executive vice president and founding dean of the school of adult learning. He has nearly two decades of experience in higher education teaching, leadership, and community relations, as well as experience in healthcare, church leadership, and corporate operations. It represents a return for Barnes. He was a teacher and administrator at OU from 1999 to 2004.
