OLATHE — Johnson County Water District No. 1 was one of four entities honored by the Kansas Eepartment of Health and Environment for pollution prevention. The water district received honorable mention in the KDHE’s P-2 awards program. The water district was honored for its efforts to cut the amount of trash and waste its office was generating. The district also started a “green drive” program to urge drivers to change how they drove district vehicles to reduce fuel consumption.
