OTTAWA — Neosho County Community College’s enrollment at its new Ottawa campus is up nearly 29 percent this semester. In an e-mail to students and faculty, college president Brian Inbody said the school’s on-line enrollment is also up by 29 percent. Enrollment at NCCC’s home campus at Chanute is up 8 percent and the residence halls are full, causing the college to put 18 students up in a Chanute motel, he said. The number of students enrolled at Ottawa is higher than at Chanute, he said. This semester, the school also crossed the 20,000-credit-hour mark for the first time in the school’s history, he said.
