OSAWATOMIE — The city of Osawatomie will buy a new $25,000 new automated control system at the city’s wastewater treatment plant. The Osawatomie Journal reported that the city recently replaced the plant’s decanters but one is not functioning properly. Acting city manager Don Jordan said the current control system at the plant is so old it can’t determine where the problem is. The Osawatomie City Council approved the purchase of the new system.
