FREDONIA — A former Ottawa cable television employee charged with a sex crime involving a teenager is still the running man. Charles Christopher “Chris” Taylor skipped his sentencing in Wilson County District Court in February after he had pleaded guilty to the sex charge involving an Ottawa teenager. Taylor used Facebook to lure the Ottawa teenager and he took her from Ottawa High School to a place near Fredonia for sex. He left her in Wilson County and as he returned to Ottawa, his employer, Allegiance Cable, used a satellite signal to disable his company truck at the request of Ottawa police. He was the subject of a three-day manhunt in northern Anderson County. He was caught at Allegiance’s tower northwest of Garnett. Wilson County Attorney Jill Chard said Taylor is likely out of state. Chard asks if you know of Taylor’s whereabouts to call police.
