OTTAWA — In comedy and crime, timing is everything. Ottawa police said officers were in the 2200 block of South Elm Street Monday afternoon taking a report from a 25-year-old Ottawa woman about a man who she said violated a protection order preventing him from contacting her. While they were taking the report, the man walked in to contact the woman. He left a lot faster, that is until officers raced after him and collared him. Police said they booked Leroy McCullick, 25, Ottawa into the Franklin County jail for violating a protective order, trespass, stalking, and obstruction of justice.
