OTTAWA — The city’s premiere grantwriter, Casey Sharp, is leaving to join a non-profit agency in Kansas City, the Family Conservancy. Sharp started as a management intern out of Kansas University’s public administration graduate program. City manager Richard Nienstedt said he was so impressed with her work, he created a position for her. As a management assistant, Sharp helped created and spearhead the city’s storm water management and the city’s park and playground improvements, and wrote a series of grants to help finance much of her work.
