LENEXA — A 14-year-old Ottawa girl was taken to Overland Park Regional Hospital following a two-car crash Saturday afternoon on I-35 in Lenexa. Helen Gibson, Ottawa, was a passenger in a car driven by Timeke Gibson, 20, LaHarpe, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. The older Gibson was going south on I-35 near I-435 when she when plowed into the back of a car driven by Montana Rivera, 18, Kansas City, Kan., when traffic slowed down in a traffic tie-up, the highway patrol said. The elder Gibson complained of a possible injury. Rivera wasn’t injured.
