OTTAWA — The corner at the courthouse Veterans Memorial will soon get a couple of benches. Jane Creighton, Pomona, volunteers to take care of plants on several of the Ottawa street corners and last week, she asked county commissioners for permission to install the benches at Fifth and Main. Commissioners agreed. Creighton said she’ll get the benches from the city of Ottawa, which is replacing some downtown. The benches will be in good shape and appropriate in appearance for the memorial corner, she said.
