PAOLA — Paola residents will see an increase in their city utility bills this month. The Paola City Council increased the monthly fee for solid waste collection by 50 cents to $14.50 per month. Paola city manager Jay Wieland told the Miami County Republic that the city’s trash hauler, the Louisburg-based L&K Services, raised its service charge to the city by 3 percent. Paola residents will still get curbside recycling for free as part of their weekly trash pick-up.
