KANSAS CITY — A carjacker jumped on the hood of a 30-year-old woman’s car Tuesday on U.S. 71 in Kansas City, pointed a gun at her and told her to drive. She did. The Kansas City Star reported the woman stomped on the gas pedal, roared down the highway, zipped off an interchange and drove straight to Kansas City Police headquarters where she rammed her car through a garage door with the man still hanging on to her hood. Police told the newspaper that the man jumped off and ran away but officers arrested him nearby as he tried to get on a city bus. Police said he didn’t have the gun because he may have dropped it during his wild ride. He was at a Kansas City hospital being treated for minor injuries.
