OSAWATOMIE — The Osawatomie Rotary Club wants to create a swimming beach on the west side of the city lake. The Osawatomie Journal reports that the Rotarians would do the work of setting up the beach and is making plans to maintain to spare the city any expense. The club has talked to the city council about changing its ordinance banning wading, bathing and swimming at the lake. The city is willing to change the ordinance if the Rotarians proceed with the project.
