WASHINGTON D.C.- Kansas Senator Pat Roberts is fighting to protect farmers from an Environmental Protection Agency regulation. Senator Roberts signed on as a co-sponsor to the Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act. The act would prevent the EPA from imposing more stringent dust standards for one year, and allow state and local governments to address rural dust issues before the federal government can get involved. Roberts says that no one cares more about a clean environment than American farmers and the EPA regulation would be costly and redundant.
