KANSAS CITY — Former Kansas attorney general Steve Six has joined a Kansas City law firm. The firm of Stueve Siegel Hanson said that Six will handle commercial litigation, public clients and personal injury lawsuits. Six was a district judge in Douglas County when he was appointed attorney general by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius after Paul Morrison resigned as a result of a sex scandal. Six ran for election to the post but was defeated in the 2008 election by Republican Derek Schmidt. Pre. Barack Obama nominated six for a seat on the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals but Kansas senators Pat Roberts and Jerry Moran objected to the appointment.
