OTTAWA — Despite the rain that fell during the Ol’ Marais River Run car show this weekend, the show was still a success, said Kevin James, president of the Over The Road Gang, which organizes and hosts the annual show. Car owners and visitors brought umbrellas and canopies and enjoyed the cool weather, he said. A few activities such the fireworks display and filming by a helicopter crew were cut short by the rain, he said. Because of the cutbacks, the car club is asking for anyone who may have taken videos or still photos of the fireworks, he said. Because of the rain forecasts, nearly 1,400 vehicles showed up for the River Run, a drop from last year’s record 1,600, he said.
