TOPEKA — The Kansas Book Festival will be Saturday from 9 to 4 at the Kansas Historical Society in Topeka. David Eisenhower, grandson of Pres. Dwight Eisenhower, will make a presentation with Topeka historian David Nichols, who has focused on Dwight Eisenhower’s presidency. Eisenhower wrote a memoir about life with his grandfather. Alexandra Robbins, author of the New York Times’ bestseller “The Geeks Shall Inherit the Earth” will also speak. Kansas First Lady Mary Brownback said the festival will showcase about 30 current authors and books and will promote the importance of reading. The awards ceremony for the Kansas Notable Book winners will be noon. The book festival is free and open to the public. Visit the Web site www.kansasbookfestival.com.
