OTTAWA — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department is investigating two cases of identity theft reported this weekend. Meghan Beach, 30, Richmond, reported someone stole her identity and took $1,700 from her bank account. Sheila Luedders, 74, Rantoul, reported someone used her credit card number to buy cigarettes from Merrick, N.Y. The loss was estimated at $256.
