OTTAWA — If you’re late to tonight’s Ottawa City Commission study sesssion at 4 at city hall, you’ll be out of luck, because commissioners will be out of sight. After a short session to check on the agenda, city commissioners will load up in a van with city public works director Andy Haney to look at the city’s streets including possible repair projects, city manager Richard Nienstedt. The trip will continue a tour south to see Kingman Road at U.S. 59. Commissioners were roasted last week by Dan Fogle, who has a business building on Kingman Road about the condition of the road. He said when the city annexed the road two years ago, there were promises that the city would maintain the road, which has deteriorated. At that meeting commissioners agreed the road was in bad shape but didn’t necessarily agree with Fogle’s assessment of what had to be done – his was repave the road; some commissioners said they preferred to gravel the road, which drew objections from Fogle.
