WASHINGTON — One U.S. Department of Agriculture economist predicts food prices across all categories will continue climbing quickly through the rest of this year. Foods-trend analyst Ricky Volpe said prices will continue to increase next year but at a slower pace. However, the exception will be bread and cereal products, which will increase at a faster-than-normal rate next year because of the poor wheat harvest, he said.
