KANSAS CITY – The parents of a missing 10-month-old Kansas City baby publicly pleaded this afternoon for their daughter to be returned safely. More than 100 police officers spent Tuesday and this morning searching woods and a rugged area in northern Kansas City for Lisa Irwin. Kansas City, Mo., police captain Steve Young said officers and dogs are re-visiting areas they’ve already searched and knocking on doors nobody answered Tuesday in search of the missing baby or information about what happened to her. So far, there’s been little information about the little girl, he said. “The only thing that we know absolutely is that there should have been a ten-month-old in that house and there isn’t and we’re doing everything we can to find that child,” Young said. Police issued an Amber Alert for her Tuesday morning after she was abducted from her crib in a bedroom in northern Kansas City. However, the Amber Alert was cancelled Tuesday night. Officers have questioned her parents, and they’ve been cooperating, he said.
