POMONA — Betty Scott-Neufeld of Pomona attended the recent annual Kansas Silver-Haired Legislature in Topeka. The Silver-Haired Legislature is comprised of people aged 60 and older who offer resolutions to the Kansas Legislature. Among this year’s recommendations: more regulation of pay-day lenders and income-tax refund loans, better training for doctors who diagnose dementia in the elderly, better dental services for the elderly and more work on those laws dealing with grandparent custody.
