KANSAS CITY — The Occupy movement has moved to Kansas City and Wichita. About 300 people rallied Sunday in Penn Valley Park across from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, and near the Country Club Plaza. An Occupy Wichita demonstration was held in that city’s downtown Saturday. Although top government and business officials have tried to ignore it, made snide comments downplaying it or even call it unAmerican, the “Occupy Wall Street” protests in New York City are spreading to cities all across the U.S. The Kansas City Star reported Kansas City protestors expressed their frustration with what they see as corporate control of politicians and a government more concerned with serving the wealthy and protecting their tax breaks. Some demonstrators described themselves as liberals, while others said they were die-hard fans of the Libertarian champion Ron Paul.
