OTTAWA — Kansas City Power & Light has restored power throughout east central Kansas this morning. By mid-morning only a handful of customers, if any, remained without power. Earlier, a woman from Lane told KOFO News that her power had been out for more than an hour this morning. Before power was restored, the outages appeared most extensive in eastern and southeastern Franklin County and the Greeley area in Anderson County. In the Greeley and Lane area more than 85 percent of the customers were without power this morning shortly after 8. About one-third of KCP&L’s customers in the Rantoul area were without power. A little more than 10 percent of customers in the Osawatomie area were without power this morning. Other outages in the region were more scattered, with a handful of customers without power in the Ottawa, Princeton and Richmond areas.
