BURLINGTON — Coffey Health System’s Lnch & Learn series will feature a presentation on organ donations. The Midwest Transplant Network’s Pam Mayberry and Heartland Lions Eye Bank’s Kris Keller will discuss the need for organ, cornea, and tissue donation; authorization procedures; and myths and truths about donation. They’ll mention almost 100,000 Americans are waiting for organ transplants and that organ donors can save the lives of up to eight people, and improve the lives of up to 50 people through tissue donations. Lunch & Learn will be on the noon hour Oct. 28 at the Coffey County Hospital in Burlington. Attendance and lunch are free.
