OTTAWA — Ashley Kobeszka, 27, Augusta, was booked into the Franklin County jail Sunday night on suspicion of driving recklessly because of excessive speed, and transporting an open container of alcohol. Ottawa police said she was driving on I-35 at about U.S. 59 when she was pulled over. How much does the speed have to be excessive enough to be considered reckless? Lt. Adam Weingartner said it’s a judgment call on the part of the officer. Weingartner says in Kobeszka’s case, she was clocked coming out of construction zone at 120 miles an hour.
