OTTAWA – The National Weather Service office in Topeka has issued a frost advisory for 4-8 a.m. Wednesday and a freeze watch from late Wednesday night through
Thursday morning for the entire area. Temperatures Wednesday morning for Franklin County will hover around 32 degrees. The lows for Thursday morning could reach 28 to 29 degrees. The low temperatures are expected to end this year’s growing season, the weather service said. Gardeners should pick temperature-sensitive fruits and vegetables and cover or bring in potted plants.
