TOPEKA — An Iowa firm has been awarded the bid for seeding along the new U.S. 59 expressway in Douglas County for seven miles from the Franklin County line. The Kansas Department of Transportation awarded a contract of slightly more than $174,000 to Truelsen Blumenthal, also known as Soil-Tek, Grimes, Iowa.
