TOPEKA — A Minnesota man has been indicted for bank robbery in connection with the robbery at the Great Southern Bank in Ottawa on July 15. The indictment, issued at the U.S. District Court in Topeka, accuses Timothy Glen Caskey, 40, Virginia, Minn., of walking into the bank and giving a teller a note demanding money. The robber took the money and fled. U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said that Caskey also faces federal charges for kidnapping his estranged wife, Roberta Caskey, in Minnesota the day before the Ottawa bank robbery and going across the country with her, Caskey was arrested in Mexico by Mexican police on the federal kidnapping charge. If he’s convicted on the bank robbery charge, caskey faces 20 years in prison.
