OTTAWA — Ottawa outlasted Paola to win the 4-A substate volleyball tournament Saturday in Ottawa. The Lady Cyclones beat the Panthers 25-22, 25-22.
Ottawa beat Eudora 25-17, 25-13 and beat Santa Fe Trail 25-22, 25-15. Paola beat Baldwin 25-17, 25-23 and squeaked by Louisburg 25-22, 18-25, 26-24. Santa Fe Trail beat Osawatomie to take third, 25-14, 25-19. Ottawa has been seeded eighth in the state tournament and will begin pool play Friday afternoon at Salina’s Bi-Centennial Center against top-seeded St. James Academy, Lenexa.
