OTTAWA — Paola girls won and the Paola boys came in third at the 4-A substate cross country meet held at the Eisenhower Road course outside of Ottawa Saturday. In the girls meet, Ottawa came in eighth. Anderson County came in sixth. Lauren Frederick and Katie Jo Kirk came in second and third for Paola. Amanda Moody of Anderson County came in fourth. Erika Doty came in 14th for the Lady Cyclones. In the boys meet, Anderson County came in fifth, Ottawa sixth, Louisburg eighth and Osawatomie ninth. Chanute won. Paola’s Justice Hargis came in fourth and Lane Harris sixth. Ottawa’s Daniel White came in 18th.
