BURLINGTON – In the 3-A cross country substate at Burlington, the West Franklin girls one and Osage City came in second, qualifying for the state meet at Rim Rock Farm near Lawrence Saturday morning. In the boys race, Wellsville came in second and Osage City, third, which also qualifies them for the state race. Burlington boys won. Osage City’s Aundrea Kroger and Sarah Peterson came in first and second, and West Franklin’s Taylor Slavens and Autum Holloway came in sixth and seventh. In the boys, Osage City’s Ryan Cox and Chris Huenger came in third and ninth. Wellsville’s Derek Moore and Hunter Thuro came in fourth and 10th. West Franklin’s Cody Webb also qualified for the state meet by coming in 14th.
