WICHITA — South Central Kansas Economic Development District will host a free weatherization workshop in Wichita to help Kansas homeowners learn cost-effective ways to curb energy use. The clinic will offer tips on taking a whole-home approach to energy efficiency, how to adapt lifestyles to reduce utility costs and how to distinguish “do-it yourself” projects from those that may require professional services. The clinic is part of National Home Weatherization Day. The workshop will be10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Wichita East Menard’s store, near the intersection of K-96 and North Webb Road. Admission is free and registration is not required. All participants will receive a free compact fluorescent light bulb or low-flow showerhead provided by Menard’s.
