WICHITA — Seven people in the Wichita area have been arrested over the weekend in a law enforcement sting targeting human trafficking, authorities said Monday. The Wichita Eagle reported that one of the people arrested was Garden Plain High School football coach Todd Puetz. Wichita police captain Brent Allred told the newspaper that all of the men arrested communicated electronically that they were interested in having sex with an underage girl, and six had tried to meet with a girl for sex. He said another four people are under investigation and could be arrested later.
Puetz has been suspended with pay. A relative of Puetz told the eagle that his family is ”very supportive“ of him. She said the case wasn’t all black and white.
