TOPEKA — Kansas transportation secretary Deb Miller will step down to take a position with Cambridge Systematics, a national transportation planning and policy firm headquartered in Massachusetts. Her last day will be Dec. 16. She has served under Democratic governors Kathleen Sebelius and Mark Parkinson and under Republican Gov. Sam Brownback. During her 26 years at the Kansas Department of Transportation, Miller was closely involved in the state’s comprehensive transportation programs of 1989, 1999 and 2010.
