SALINA – The Ottawa High School volleyball team is third in the state following the Kansas 4-A tournament this weekend in Salina. The Lady Cyclones squeaked by Holton 25-23, 25-22; to win third. In pool play Friday, Ottawa lost to St. James Academy-Lenexa, the eventual state champ, 9-25, 7-25. The Lady Cyclones beat Chanute 25-18, 25-9; and Cheney 25-18, 25-22. In the semi-finals Saturday, McPherson beat Ottawa 11-25, 21-25; setting up the third-place match with Holton.
