ATCHISON — The death toll from a a massive grain elevator explosion in Atchison Saturday night has increased to six. Searchers found the bodies of three missing men late this morning. Two others were in critical condition after being severely burned. The blast in the head house at the top of the Bartlett Grain Company elevator, believed to have been caused by grain dust that ignited, rattled much of Atchison. The company had suspended search operations because the blast site atop the elevators wasn’t stable or safe.
