GARNETT — An army officer and classroom instructor at Fort Leavenworth will be the featured speaker at Veterans Day ceremonies in Garnett next week. Col. Thomas Roe, director of the Mission Command Battle Laboratory, will speak during the Veterans Day program 10:30 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Anderson County Junior-Senior High School auditorium. All veterans and the public are invited to attend. Lunch will be served after the program at the Garnett VFW post, courtesy of the VFW Ladies Aauxiliary. Roe has served in West Germany, Alaska and in Iraq. He has also commanded a parachute infantry regiment.
