OTTAWA — A Pomona man will back in Franklin County District Court Friday in connection with two rural burglaries and a two-county chase earlier this summer. Daniel Anspaugh faces two charges of non-residential burglary, two charges of theft and two charges of criminal damage in connection with burglaries near Centropolis and Richmond. A neighbor spotted two men at a rural residence west of Richmond and called the sheriff’s department and gave chase to the intruders. Franklin County deputies joined the chase near Williamsburg and followed the men into Osage County, where two men abandoned a truck and tried to flee on foot. Anspaugh was arrested near the scene. The second man escaped. Eric Fox was arrested by Osage County deputies later in connection with the case. He was scheduled to be court this week on charges of non-residential burglary, theft, criminal damage and obstruction of justice.
