KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Grinter Place State Historic Site in Kansas City, Kan., will host “Second Saturdays by the Grinter Stove.” The cooking workshops honor the Grinter Place heritage of cooking on the wood stove. This year, the cooking portion of the workshop will be spent preparing a lunch of savory dishes. The Second Saturdays will be 11 to 3 on Nov. 12, Jan. 14, Feb. 11, and March 10. The Grinter Place is a former early-day trading post and home and is at the intersection of 78th Street and K-32 in Wyandotte County. For more information, call 913-299-0373.
