OSWATOMIE — Long-time community volunteer Wayne Harclerode has been named citizen of the year by the Osawatomie Chamber of Commerce. The Osawatomie Journal notes that he has been heavily involved as a volunteer at his church, the Osawatomie United Methodist Church; and for many groups and activities. He’s played guitar at the Osawatomie Senior Center and at several area nursing homes and flying or organizing fly-overs for area Memorial Day and Veterans Days events.
