WELLSVILLE — Traffic will go to one-lane at some parts of K-68 in Franklin and Miami counties beginning this week. The Kansas Department of Transportation said when weather permits, a contractor will seal cracks in the pavement of K-68 over 21 miles between the K-33 junction and Louisburg. KDOT said the work should be done in two months. Missouri Pavement Maintenance of Independence, Mo., is doing the work for a little more than $167,000 under the T-Works transportation program. A pilot car operation will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone during daylight hours. KDOT said delays could be up to 15 minutes.
