OLATHE — Four businesses in a strip mall on 119th Street in Olathe were evacuated Monday morning after a report of carbon monoxide The Kansas City Star reported that Olathe firefighters evacuated the businesses after they were called to an alarm of people being overcome by the gas at the Noodles & Company Restaurant. Two restaurant employees were transported to hospitals for observation. One other person told firefighters he would drive himself to a hospital. Five others were examined at the scene and refused treatment. The firefighters turned off the natural gas to the restaurant and ordered that gas-fueled equipment within the restaurant be repaired. The other businesses reopened.
