OTTAWA — Ottawa University recently named Shane Smeed as of vice president and chief operating officer for its adult, professional and on-line studies division. He has been president of DeVry University’s campus operations in the Kansas City region, where he oversaw enrollment management, academic affairs, finances and personnel matters. Smeed oversees OU’s adult campuses in Phoenix; Milwaukee; Jeffersonville, Ind.; and Overland Park; as well and is vice-president for Ottawa University’s on-line division.
