OTTAWA — Ottawa will take on No. 8 Azusa Pacific twice Saturday. The Braves will play No. 8 Azusa Pacific in the opening round of the NAIA football playoffs. The OU women’s soccer team will also play Azusa Pacific in the NAIA soccer nationals. Both teams travel to Azusa, Calif., for Saturday’s game. The pairing was announced after the Braves bashed Bethel 72-6 Saturday and the Lady Braves upset No. 20 Kansas Wesleyan 1-0 Saturday in double overtime during the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament championship. Tara Woods’ goal in the second overtime gave OU their second national tournament appearance. Baker women’s soccer team also picked up an automatic berth into the NAIA nationals by beating Graceland 2-1 Saturday in the Heart of America Athletic Conference tournament championship. The Lady Wildcats will face Bellevue, Neb. In men’s soccer, Mid-America Nazarene upset Baker 2-1 Friday in the HAAC championship game. However, because of their No. 3 ranking, the Wildcats still got a berth in the nationals. They’ll host Oklahoma Wesleyan, a team they beat earlier this season.
